Regional Sales – Capital Equipment [ZC0702]

The Regional Sales Leader is responsible for identification, development, and commercialization of new applications and product opportunities for tools and diagnostic equipment servicing the semi-conductor and research markets. This individual will promote the sale of mechanical and electronic products which requires professional engineering knowledge sufficient to make judgments involving complex engineering and economic principles, and calculations to persuade potential buyers or lessees of the practical value of the product or service. The Regional Sales Leader will prepare quotes and maintain records of discussions with the customer, or other information submitted by or obtained from potential customers. This position will report customer practices regarding utilization of Zyvex products and provide continuous market/customer feedback to the Product Manager and the Product Development Group. This position functions as a de facto member of the product development team.

Educational Requirements

B.S. required; in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics or other related field from an accredited university.

Required Experience

5+ years sales and product development experience; broad technical background in electronics manufacturing, semi-conductor and/or capital equipment, and systems engineering; international sales experience; sales management experience.

Required Skills

Broad technical knowledge in electronics manufacturing and systems engineering; knowledge of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS); excellent technical communication skills – both writing and speaking; ability to quickly learn new technical concepts; ability to work within a project plan, adhering to the plan’s goals and milestones; consistent performer – excellent negotiator and closer; ability to represent both the business and technology features of our products and services; strong leadership skills and ability to work well in a team environment; willingness and flexibility to travel at least 75% of the time worldwide; fluency in English: reading, writing and speaking; exercise reasonable judgment (without supervision); detail-oriented; organized; self-starter.
