Zyvex today announced that SouthWest NanoTechnologies,
Inc. (SWeNT™) of Norman, Oklahoma has successfully met
the requirements of the Zyvex Supply Chain Certification program.
Zyvex’s comprehensive program
verifies quality and batch-to-batch consistency using market-accepted
analytical tests.
SWeNT’s Single Wall Carbon
Nanotubes (SWNTs), made with its patented CoMoCat™ process,
can now be incorporated into Zyvex’s
NanoSolve™ additive products, especially for polymer
composite applications.
“Our customers demand quality products. As such, we
must demand quality raw materials for our NanoSolve products,”
said Zyvex President Thomas A. Cellucci. “SouthWest
NanoTechnologies has demonstrated their robust, scalable manufacturing
technology with its documented and controlled processes. They
also have a proper order fulfillment system and sound capital
planning and sources.”
“We are excited about working with a nanotechnology
leader like Zyvex,” said Howard Barnett, CEO of Southwest
Nanotechnology, Inc. “We believe partnerships like this
are key to speeding market adoption of carbon nanotube-based
materials.”
SWeNT is the first company to be certified under this program.
Zyvex is working with a number of other leading nanotube vendors
and will announce additional vendors as they become certified
throughout the remainder of 2004.
The Supply Chain Certification process is an integral part
of Zyvex’s ability to provide
high-quality nanomaterials solutions for customer applications.
