Company reports seventh consecutive quarter
of sales growth
Richardson, Texas (July 20, 2004)
Zyvex today announced financial results for
its fiscal second quarter 2004. The Texas company continues
to exceed sales projections with seven consecutive quarters
of sales growth. Executives expect Zyvex to realize over $8
million in sales this year, coupled with a sizeable order
backlog. Founded in 1997, Zyvex reported its first revenues
in 2001, grossing only $150,000. Company revenues grew to
$1.2 million in 2002 and $4.5 million in 2003.
“I have been very pleased to watch Zyvex’s
rapid transformation from a small research center to one of
the largest and most promising commercial nanotechnology companies
in the world,” said Zyvex CFO, Timothy M. Gilmore. “Our
continued sales growth demonstrates our leadership in providing
real-world, practical nanotechnology solutions.”
Gilmore predicts that the company will hit cash-flow
break-even in the fourth quarter of 2005, and become bottom-line
profitable in 2006.
This followed on the announcements of Zyvex's
continued worldwide sales and marketing expansion into China,
France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore,
Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and Vietnam
through alliances with Keithley Instruments, Inc., Caltron,
Pte., and LOT-Oriel. Zyvex also has numerous key alliances
with industry leaders, including FEI Company, Frost &
Sullivan, MIT’s Institute for Soldier Nanotechnologies,
MANCEF and many others.
Zyvex continues to advance its growth through
the introduction of Materials, Tools and Structures for real
world nanotechnology applications across major markets serving
Health Care, Electronics, Telecommunications, Aerospace, Semiconductor,
Energy, and Defense customers.
In April 2004, Zyvex introduced the first two
products in its NanoSolve® line of composite additives.
The company also announced its Supply Chain Certification
Program for carbon nanotube suppliers.
Zyvex also recently announced a breakthrough
probing application for integrated circuit (IC) defect analysis.
Zyvex enables rapid-response semiconductor device failure
analysis at the contact level — a critical requirement
for the highly-competitive semiconductor industry.
The L100 Nanomanipulation System for Life Sciences
research and development applications, the latest member of
Zyvex’s NanoWorks® product line, represents Zyvex’s
entry into the Life Sciences arena.
Zyvex introduced ten new products in 2003 and
expects to release at least twelve new products in 2004.
